Gravy Sauce

This Gravy Sauce is great served with pork, turkey, lamb, chicken or just with mashed potatoes.

  • 600ml Beef stock
  • 900g onion (sliced thinly)
  • 2 tablespoons water

Place the thinly sliced onions into a pan with the water. Cook slowly, stirring occasionally. The sugar from the onions will caramelise and become brown and sweet (taste). Although, it is a slow process and can take up to an hour.

Add the stock and simmer for about 20 minutes. Pour into a warmed serving dish, and serve.
